3 fisted comics

The title evokes various x rated images to at least my mind, however this event is not what it seems. Or it is if you are not thinking of comics about 3 people who enjoy working feverishly to force bunched fists into that most notorious of orifices; the anus.

NO, this event is hosted by AGDA WA and will be a talk by Gestalt Comics' Wolfgang Bylsma, Justin Randall and Anton McKay. Speaking about comics, illustrating, publishing and more to boot. This is yet again, another even that I can't make it to. I am sorely disappointed.

The following details are right from AGDA;

FREE ENTRY to AGDA Members before 5:45pm (ie those attending AGM) or $5.00 after 6.30pm. All Non-members/non-member students/PADC/DIA $10.00

Gestalt Comics will be setting up an exhibition of comic artwork and a book stand at the event, we'll ave Skye Ogden's animated video clip for Japanese band Yongen on show and Anton McKay will entertain us with his musical stylings.

We have also secured a SUPERHERO life drawing session the following Saturday morning with Gabby Mazalevskis. This will take place in the Fashion Department of Central TAFE from 9:30 - 11:30 on 12th September at 19 Aberdeen Street, Northbridge. Capes and ‘undies-on-the outside’ will help embolden your stylistic sketching skills.

Bookings will be essential, as these lifedrawing sessions fill up fast. Cost includes materials and is a supercheap $10 for AGDA members; $20 PADC, DIA members/students or $5 non-members. Get in early and send an email booking: wa@agda.com.au.

These kinds of events rock and AGDA events in general are awesome. Seriously, these AGDA events are one of the things that I really miss about Perth. Go if you can. It will be great.
